Sam Hermann an eminent artist who works principally in glass came to the practice for ideas on how to provide a new artists studio based on one of his artworks. The studio was to be based on a green field site and was to be environmentally sustainable. The form and character of the external envelope was modelled and based on one of his glass works. Careful analysis of the services, structure and build-ability was undertaken the project is on-going and design development work continues.
